Add a New Expense

The budget tool uses industry averages and trends to estimate and calculate wedding expenses. However, during your own planning process, you might find you pay more or less for certain things compared to those averages. You can update the costs for items at any time.

To add a new expense that is not listed within the tool, please follow the steps below:

 

  • Log in to your WeddingWire account
  • Hover over 'My Wedding' and click 'My Budget'
  • Click 'Add New Expense' under the appropriate category (i.e. Ceremony, Music, Invitations, etc.)
  • Fill out the information in the pop up box. The category and expense fields are required, but you can update the estimated and final costs at any time.
  • Click 'Save'

Remember, you can always add a note to an expense by clicking the paper icon. Or, you can delete an item from your budget tool altogether by click the trashcan icon.
